A Holistic Body-Psychotherapy Method

The UNERGI Training . . . is a professional 1000 hour Certification Training directed by Ute Arnold and her faculty. Three levels can be completed in a 3-year period, each year consisting of five 4-day weekends.
In the Unergi Body Psychotherapy Certification Training, the students find themselves in a classroom of "holistic un-learning". Habits of interference, outworn concepts and belief systems, fall away - revealing a you that is worth knowing. UNERGI combines touch - Alexander Technique, movement - Feldenkrais, talk - Gestalt Therapy, Art Therapy and the Healing Forces of Nature. It is for anyone who wants to go to his or her growing edge and beyond.
The Learning Environment...
Unergi training is an experiential and a non-linear educational process. It has many facets: intensity, lightness and fun; reaching deep and reaching out; growing up and growing more child-like. In this rich and diverse educational community teachers become students, and students become teachers. It is designed to prevent burnout and invites the joy of caring. This training encourages the individual and the professional to expand their awareness while facilitating others, adding a variety of new skills to their present repertoire.
UNERGI Studies Include:
- Self-Care and Supportive Presence: essential components in health and healing
- Gestalt Therapy: as a tool for listening, voicing, responding in the roles of client, observer, and therapist amplifying the body dialogue
- Unergi Core Support: greater freedom through movements based on the work of Moshe Feldenkrais and F.M. Alexander, connecting to our innate body wisdom and re-educating habitual responses to enlarged choices
- Listening Touch: intentional, safe and healing touch facilitated by the Alexander Technique.
- Experiential Anatomy: studying, sensing and visualizing the inter-connecting energy pathways between bones, muscles, and nervous system for intelligent body-mapping
- The Chakras Locations: amplifying, energizing and balancing the 7 major body energy centers. Studying and integrating their messages and somatic pathways
- Dream Work: processing dreams through enactment, Gestalt Therapy and creative experimentation
- Creative Expression: by drawing, painting, writing, building, sculpting, sounding, playing or dancing, the wisdom and woundedness of the inner child is accessed and transformed; the inner artist discovers and celebrates new choices
- Healing Forces of Nature: communing with nature will guide us to the natural rhythms within ourselves and the needs of the earth
- Healing Community: building inner safety and trust in relationships as natural healing opportunities
- Mystery and Silence: honoring spirit and nurturing our well being through guided visualization and meditation, realizing our creative divinity.

A team of professional teachers will gently and expertly lead the way, and introduce you to the latest research and powerful modalities to access the Mind-Body-Emotion connection. The artistic dialogue will facilitate brush on paper, hands on clay, dance, poetry or sound and reveal what has been hidden. Nature will guide us to self acceptance and love. What emerges is often surprising and helps us to recognize the divinity in self and others.
This certification training is first and foremost a self-healing journey for Healthcare professionals and those who want to experience their wholeness in a non-judgmental, caring, safe and provocative environment. Only then can we build the integrated skills needed to become healing partners to others.

The 3-Level Training Schedule...
Six 4-day weekends (Friday-Saturday-Sunday-Monday)
A new Unergi Training (Level 1) begins January 2009. The upcoming 2008 "Unergi Introductory Weekends" are on the dates that follow. An Introductory Weekend can be attended for $240.

Tuition . . .
Each level of training is $5000. Three levels are required for certification, and can be completed in 3 years. (SIx 4-day weekends per year) Tuition is due 6 weeks prior to the start of each level. Payment plans are available (monthly, semi-yearly). Work scholarships are sometimes possible for PA & NJ students.
